at wayne state university

Drawing leading scholars in labor history from around the globe, the annual North American Labor History Conference explores the work conditions and lives of the working class, the history of the labor movement, and the impact of the labor movement on society as a whole.  The NALHC is a three-day conference, Thursday through Saturday, and is held on the Wayne State Campus in Detroit.

NALHC is sponsored by the Wayne State Department of History, the Walter P. Reuther Library, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Wayne State University, and the Labor and Working Class History Association.

Come celebrate 30 years of the North American Labor History Conference on October 16-18, 2008. The theme of this year’s conference is “Labor, Law and Justice.” The NALHC will be held at the Minoru Yamasaki-designed McGregor Conference Center on the main Wayne State Campus in the heart of Detroit’s Cultural Center.
